MEET THE TEAM
Norman graduated from the University of Natal in 1984 with a degree in land surveying. He joined the Eskom Transmission Land Survey Department in 1985 and registered as a Professional Land Surveyor in 1987. Norman has experience in cadastral surveys, power line route selection and surveying, precise control and monitoring surveys on power stations, and production of power line plans and environmental maps.
Jim graduated from the University of Natal in 1972 with a degree in land surveying and registered as a Professional Land Surveyor in 1974. He is experienced in cadastral and control surveys as well as cadastral examining. Jim joined Eskom South Africa in 1982, where he was employed as a land surveyor, senior land surveyor (spesifically in the field of power stations) and manager of GIS at various stages of his career.
Jannie graduated in 1991 with a higher national diploma in survey and worked for the Eskom Transmission Land Survey Department on power line route selection and surveys. He also worked on precise surveys on power and substations, specialising in environmental studies, public participation and management plans for power lines. He is registered with Plato and is a member of the South African Geomatics Institution (SAGI).
Chief Technical Officer
Mark has over 10 years of experience in aerial surveying and remote sensing. He started his career in data processing and obtained a post-graduate diploma in business. He was appointed to the position of Chief Technical Officer, and his responsibilities include managing all technical aspects of the company as well as the research and development aspects of equipment, processing and data management.
Chief Financial Officer
Tilly is a SAIPA certified financial and business consultant with 12 years of auditing experience and 16 years of financial exposure (12 years at the executive level). She has a proven track record of performance and an extraordinary ability to achieve results in terms of production output, delivery deadlines, quality and overall business process efficiency. Tilly is also an ICF-accredited coach.
Aircraft Ops Manager
Andre has extensive aviation management, human resources, industrial relations and general management experience. He has worked for large corporate organisations as well as small companies, incorporated and non-listed. Through the years, his successful execution of tasks has resulted in recognition and several promotions to more senior positions.
Survey Ops Manager
Christelle first started her career in the aviation industry in 2007 as assistant to the director of operations. Over the next 10 years, she progressed to her current position of survey operations manager by performing optimal project management and ensuring that projects are executed with maximum efficiency. Christelle has expanded her skill set to include marketing, health and safety, logistics and human resources.
Remote Sensing Manager
Andries is an applied earth sciences practitioner with a focus in the geological sciences. He has experience in the geology, remote sensing and GIS software packages used to create products for strategic decision-making in the exploration, mining, engineering and agricultural sectors. His graduate and post-graduate studies provided a thorough grounding in geology, GIS and remote sensing.
Jacques is the processing manager for Southern Mapping Company and has over 12 years of experience in the lidar and spatial industry. He is also highly skilled in the range of CAD, GIS and photogrammetry software used to produce spatial information for GIS and mapping clients from the municipal, engineering and mining sectors. Jacques' post-graduate studies provided a thorough grounding in lidar and GIS theory.
